Sony XM4S Slim Line 4/3 Channel Amplifier Reviews
I've had this amplifier for 3 years and I am OVERLY impressed with it! At first I used it to power a set of Infinity Reference 6.5" components in the front doors and a set of Infinity Reference 6.5" shallow mount coaxials in the rear doors of a 2006 KIA Sorento LX. I also had one 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect VQ single voice coil subwoofer in a slot ported box powered by an Orion 1200d amplifier. My head unit was a Pioneer Premier DEH-P860MP. The Sony amp was MORE than able to power my door speakers! The sound was full and rich, perfectly complementing the subwoofer. After about 2 years, I decided to take out the big Orion amp because it was beating up my electrical system (even with a deep cycle battery!). I was looking for another mono amp to power my 12" sub, then (just to see how it sounded) I hooked up the 12" to the rear channels of this little Sony amp. It gave the sub about 120 watts. The front channels of the amp were still running the front door speakers and the head unit powered the rear door speakers....I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!!! This little amp had NO trouble powering my 12" Infinity (which is a pretty hefty subwoofer!) The sound was truely unbelievable!!! My car stereo installer couldn't believe the power of this amp! Everyone that heard my SUV couldn't believe this little amp was running MY ENTIRE SYSTEM (minus the rear door speakers)!!!! I wish there was more I can say about the Sony XM-4S. I dont have that truck anymore, but this same setup (minus the Premier head unit) is going into a 2011 KIA Sorento LX. And if anything happens to this Sony amp, I WILL be buying another one!!!!!!

Great Little Amp - Antonio DiDonato - Media, PA
Big power in a small package! I wanted to put in an amp when I redid the sound system in my 2006 Mazda Miata but I couldn't find one small enough to fit under the seat. Well, this little Sony did the trick! It fits perfect! Hooked up to a JVC head unit, my little car rocks!!!! Very easy to install, instructions are easy to follow with good wiring diagrams, very easy to set. If you need a small amp with big power, this is the one for you. I love it to pieces!
